Atletico Madrid warmed up for their LaLiga opener against Getafe with a good performance and a 2-1 win over Juventus in Sweden. Here is the match report.
2019 International Champions Cup

Match Report
Joao Felix showed why Atletico Madrid were happy to pay €126million to sign him with a hand in both goals as the Rojiblancos beat Juventus 2-1 in the International Champions Cup.
In a repeat of last season's thrilling Champions League round-of-16 tie that Juventus won 3-2 on aggregate, Atletico took a measure of revenge in an entertaining encounter at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, where Thomas Lemar turned Joao Felix's volley into the net to give Diego Simeone's men the lead.
The pair combined again for Atleti's second, which was scored by teenage sensation Joao Felix, whose performance full of energy and flair will have delighted his coach.
Match Events
10' CLOSE! Oblack denies Chiellini's effort
OBLAK DENIES CHIELLINI! The first chance of the match falls to experienced Juventus defender Chiellini. He watches the right-sided corner all the way and directs a half-volley goalwards, but Oblak gets a hand to the ball.
22' Sandro clears on the goal line
OFF THE LINE! Koke's shot is blocked by Costa on the line. Atletico have been second best so far but that is the closest either side has come to opening the scoring.
24' GOAL! Atletico 1-0 Juventus (Lemar)
GOOOAAALLL!!! ATLETICO 1-0 JUVENTUS! Joao Felix really is a special talent! Trippier crosses from the right and Joao Felix is quickest to react, getting half a yard on his man 12 yards from goal and sending a volley away from Szczesny. However, the final touch comes off the knee of Lemar and he will be credited with the goal.
Great play from Kieran Trippier to set up the goal.
29' GOAL! Atletico 1-1 Juventus (Khedira)
GOOOOAAALLL!!! ATLETICO 1-1 JUVENTUS! Khedira levels up the match with a shot from outside the box that leaves Oblak wrong-footed. Rabiot's shot takes a couple of deflections and it pops up for Khedira to send under the legs of Gimenez and into the bottom corner.
Goal! Sami Khedira equalizes to bring the score to 1-1.
33' GOAL! Atletico 2-1 Juventus (Felix)
GOOOOAAALLL!!!! ATLETICO 2-1 JUVENTUS! The first goal was taken off him but this goal will stand - and this one is arguably even better than Atleti's first. Lemar lifts the ball over the head of De Ligt and Joao Felix stretches to send a half-volley past Szczesny. What a player!
That's a fine assist from Thomas Lemar.
58' OFF THE POST! Rabiot nearly scores
OFF THE POST! Rabiot is teed up by De Sciglio and he does not need a second invitation to shoot from 25 yards. The ball could not have been struck any sweeter but it comes back off the post and Atletico survive another scare.
60' Subs! Dybala replaces Higuain
Dybala, still a Juventus player despite intense speculation over his future, comes on for Higuain in attack.
73' CLOSE! Riquelme's long shot inches wide
GREAT EFFORT! Riquelme is not short of confidence. Around 30 yards from goal, and with the angle against him, he gets a shot away and the ball drifts inches wide of the target. Buffon will argue that he had it covered.
77' Sanchez handball overlooked by ref
ANOTHER OBLAK SAVE! Dybala is on a one-man mission here. He works the ball onto his left and powers a shot towards goal, with a deflection making it even trickier for Oblak to deal with. But deal with it he does, getting both hands to the ball.
83' Ardent conflict between Costa and Demiral
The referee plays a good advantage but Atletico are defending in numbers and the attack soon breaks down. Costa and Demiral tangle, with the former getting a lot of his opponent's shirt. The referee gives the two players a talking to.
