Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Yannick Carrasco, but the Belgium international is not keen on leaving Atletico Madrid and the club do not want to see him go.
Regarded as an undisputed starter since his return to Atletico, Carrasco is expected to stay put as Diego Simeone views him as an important member of the squad.
As ESPN has reported, Newcastle and Spurs have placed the Belgian winger on their shortlist, with his release clause set at 60 million euros.
Neither of the two clubs are willing to trigger the aforementioned clause, but Atletico are not keen to negotiate Carrasco's potential departure.
Carrasco doesn't want Premier League move
The 28-year-old's intention is to stay at Atletico, and he is not contemplating a move to the Premier League midway through the season.
Carrasco, who has scored two goals and produced six assists in 29 games across all competitions this season, is currently focused on helping Atleti achieve their goals in the remainder of the campaign.
