Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has hit back at Manchester United fans who taunted him on the eve of Arsenal's 2-0 victory over the Red Devils.

The Gunners started 2020 in style thanks to goals from Nicolas Pepe and Sokratis Papastathopoulos, while Aubameyang himself put in a hard-working display in their first victory under Mikel Arteta.

Before the match, a Manchester United fan approached Aubameyang in the street and taunted him, claiming he would be 'in Phil Jones' pocket' during the game.

'You're getting no goals tomorrow innit,' United fan 98 DALLA told Aubameyang in a video posted to Twitter.

'No goals, no goals! Absolutely no chance. Phil Jones' pocket, how about that!'

But when the fans' comments before the game were raised on social media by Arsenal Fan TV regular DT after the home side's win, Aubameyang couldn't help taking aim at the United fans who filmed the clip.

'Where's that Man United fan who was filming you last night?', DT asked the Arsenal captain.

Soon enough, Aubameyang replied saying: 'They are sleeping already'.

Speaking to French outlet RMC Sport after the game, Aubameyang also refuted speculation that he is set to leave the Emirates Stadium.
