Barcelona and Real Madrid played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final at Camp Nou on Wednesday.
Malcom's second-half goal cancelled out a sixth-minute opener from Lucas Vazquez and ensured there will be plenty to play for in the return fixture on February 27.
With Lionel Messi fit enough only for a place on the bench, the onus was on Barca to show they could cope without their talisman in the first of a difficult run of fixtures this month.

FFSIDE! Suarez releases the run of the forward through on goal, leaving him with only Navas to beat. However, the Brazilian scuffs his strike straight at the keeper. The Barcelona man will be relieved to see the offside flag raised, although the decision looked to be tight.
31' CLOSE! Rakitic's header hits the bar
OFF THE BAR! Rakitic hits the bar for the home side. Malcom whips the ball in with pace and the midfielder rose to head at goal. He flicked the ball on and beat Navas, but saw his effort cannon off the bar.
34' SAVE! Navas denies Suarez's shot
SAVE! Navas makes a fine save to deny Suarez. Malcom causes havoc down the right flank for the home side. He sidesteps two challenges before teeing up his team-mate for a strike at goal. Suarez goes to place his effort into the bottom corner with his left foot, but the Madrid keeper gets across to palm it behind.

GOALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! MALCOM EQUALISES!!! 1-1!! Barca are level through a fine strike from Malcom. It came after a flurry of incidents in the box. Alba was released over the top, but Navas just beat him to the ball to clear, although he wiped out the full-back in the process. Suarez curled a strike towards the net, only to see Varane get back in time to clear it off the line. Malcom pounced on the loose ball and took a touch before bending his effort past Varane, Ramos and the recovering Navas into the net.
81' Bale wastes a golden chance
CHANCE! Casemiro almost breaks in behind the Barcelona defence. Ter Stegen comes out to meet the ball to clear ahead of the midfielder. However, he plays the ball straight to Benzema. He finds Bale on the edge of the box, but Semedo makes an important challenge to force his strike behind for a corner.
