Barca confirm Roberto to be out for 3-4 weeks with adductor injury

  /  Cai

Barcelona have officially confirmed Sergio Roberto will be out for 3-4 weeks with adductor injury.

The 28-year-old has been ruled out of the trip to Napoli and also looks set to miss La Liga games against Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and possibly Real Mallorca.

Roberto was an unused substituted against Eibar on Saturday but has started 20 of their 25 La Liga games and twice in the Champions League so far in 2019-20.

The Spaniard was clearly a big part of Quique Setien's plans as the new coach has relied on the Catalan fairly regularly since taking charge, while his absence means that Nelson Semedo will be the undisputed starter at right-back for the next few weeks.

The matches that Sergi Roberto could miss:

- 25 February: Napoli-Barcelona

- 1 March: Real Madrid-Barcelona

- 7 March: Barcelona-Real Sociedad

- 14 March: Mallorca-Barcelona

- 18 March: Barcelona-Napoli

- 22 March: Barcelona-Leganes
