Barcelona are lining up a move for in-form Atalanta and Germany full back Robin Gosens, according to reports.
The flying 26-year-old has attracted interest from a number of clubs after catching the eye at Euro 2020, and LaLiga giants Barcelona are thought to have contacted his representatives over a deal this summer.
Sport 1 claim that Atalanta would be open to letting Gosens leave for a fee of €35 million (£30m) or above.
He still has two years left on his contract in Italy, and his club are unsurprisingly determined to bank a substantial figure from his potential departure.
Having caused a stir with his national team recently, Gosens is said to be keen to take up a new adventure during this window - although his dream would be to join a team in the Bundesliga.
In a twist, the versatile star's favourite side is Schalke, and a switch to Gelsenkirchen fell through in the summer of 2019.
The one-time Champions League semi-finalists were relegated to 2. Bundesliga, however, and are no longer an option.
Atalanta have not ruled out keeping him yet, but a move appears increasingly likely as he continues to dazzle this month.
His rich vein of form saw him score 11 goals in Serie A last season, and he notched his fourth for Germany against Portugal at the weekend.
Gosens has credited Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini for his proficiency in attack, with the left wing back role for Die Mannschaft undoubtedly a perfect fit for him.
After having an effort chalked off early in the clash against Cristiano Ronaldo and Co, Gosens bounced back to tee up Kai Havertz and then hit the fourth goal for Germany with a tidy finish at the back post.
'You have to thank Mister Gasperini,' he told reporters. 'He had a great influence on it and these qualities that seem to have slumbered in me a bit were tickled out of me with the game system in Bergamo.
'I've been there for four years now and have internalised the system. I'm someone who likes to take part in the offensive game and I also have the dynamism and the time to score a goal like today.'
Joachim Low's team have taken three points from their first two group stage matches alongside fellow heavyweights Portugal and France, and Hungary.
With one final round of fixtures left, Germany find themselves just behind France in the pecking order and on par with Portugal.
They round off their final clash ahead of the knockouts against Hungary on Wednesday in Munich.
