Barcelona believe Paul Pogba will remain at Manchester United this season, despite his agent Mino Raiola heaping pressure on the relationship between the club and their record signing.

According to Mundo Deportivo in Spain, the Barcelona hierarchy believe Pogba will stay at Old Trafford because United are unable to bring in a replacement due the English transfer window closing on August 9.

Pogba has been considering his United future and admitted after the opening day 2-0 win over Leicester that 'There are things I cannot say, otherwise I will get fined.'

On Tuesday, Raiola slated former United midfielder Paul Scholes on Twitter after he criticised the Frenchman following the 3-2 defeat by Brighton.

Raiola wrote: 'Some people need to talk for fear of being forgotten. Paul Scholes wouldn’t recognize a leader if he was in front of Sir Winston Churchill.

'Paul Scholes should become sports director and advise Woodward to sell Pogba. Would be sleepless nights to find Pogba a new club.'
