Barcelona fans furious after club's home kit for next season is 'leaked' online

Designs for Barcelona's home kit for next season have supposedly been leaked online... and fans really aren't impressed with the changes.

Images of the strip for the 2019-20 season have controversially seen the famous red and blue vertical stripes dropped by kit manufacturer Nike in favour for a Croatia-like chequered style.

It isn't the first time the Catalan giants have got rid iconic design having previously went for horizontal stripes for the 2015-16 season.

However, it would be the first time in the club's history that they've opted for the chequerboard-like design and it seems that fans already hate it.

After the kit was leaked on Instagram, Barcelona fans flocked to the comments section to share what they thought about the supposed design.

One fan went for the jugular by describing the design as the 'worst ever.'

Others also bluntly labelled it as 'horrible' while another fan just attached two emojis being sick.

While the initial reaction was mainly negative, some fans hilariously believe the designs actually have a purpose.

With the kit drawing similarities to Croatia's home kit, some suggested the kit was a ploy to keep Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic at the club.

For the rest of the kit, the shorts will reportedly be blue while having the usual gold Nike swoosh, while the socks are thought to have the same chequered pattern as the shirt.
