Barcelona player ratings after 4-3 tumble at home against Real Betis

  /  autty

Messi scored twice and Arturo Vidal got the other but Barca shipped four

Marc-Andre ter Stegen 5 - Angel and demon. He made some good saves but committed an inexplicable error for Betis’s third goal.

Sergi Roberto 4 - Very bad performance in the first half and at fault for the goal. Improved after the break.

Gerard Pique 5 - Ended up playing up front. In defence contributed to the general confusion.

Jordi Alba 5 - Could not attack much in the first half but got forward more in the second, earned a penalty.

Clement Lenglet 5 - Better than Pique in defence, above all in terms of anticipation.

Ivan Rakitic 5 - An afternoon to forget, light years from his best level. Sent off.

Sergio Busquets 5 - Not his afternoon, was imprecise and nervous. Booked and subbed for Alena.

Arthur Melo 4 - Second bad game in a row, lacked substance. He can play a lot better.

Leo Messi 6 - Netted twice and was always dangerous, although he looked a little off the pace after his 3 week lay-off with some passes and moves.

Luis Suarez 5 - His work and fight cannot be denied but this time he was not rewarded with goals. Imprecise.

Malcom 5 - Started well but bit by bit was shut out, unable to beat Mandi down the Betis right.

SUBS

Arturo Vidal 6 - Came on to give energy. Scored the second and could have grabbed another, set up Messi’s second too.

Munir El Haddadi 5

Carles Alena 5
