In the 10th round of the 2026/27 Premier League season, Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace 3-1 away, ending a two-game losing streak across all competitions. Barcola provided one assist in this match, which was his third assist in his last four Premier League games.
In the 54th minute, Barcola surged down the right wing, delivered a cross, and Wirtz slotted it home from the center. This assist was a microcosm of Barcola's recent form.
On October 17, Liverpool defeated Brentford 2-1 away, Barcola assisted the winning goal. On October 25, the Reds beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 at home, where he again provided an assist. Coupled with his assist for Wirtz's first Premier League goal of the season in this round, the French winger has recorded three assists in four matches, quietly becoming Liverpool's most consistent link-up player in attack.
