Istanbul Bashaksehir's game away to Paris Saint-Germain was stopped during the first half on Tuesday evening after the visiting side accused the fourth official of using a racist term towards assistant coach Pierre Webo.
Webo was given his marching orders from the sidelines in the first half when the alleged incident occurred between himself and Romanian fourth official Sebastian Colescu. Angered, Bashaksehir's players refused to resume playing, with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and the rest of PSG's players standing in solidarity, also refusing to return to action.
Istanbul requested to referee Ovidiu Haegen for Colescu to not continue his involvement in the game, as he had allegedly referred to Webo as a "negro".
Both sides left the pitch and it is yet to become clear what will happen.
