Leon Bailey scored a first-half brace as Bayer Leverkusen beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in Saturday's Bundesliga clash at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Munich spurned a host of chances as Leon Bailey's double earned 10-man Bayer Leverkusen a 2-1 win and inflicted a first defeat on Hansi Flick.
The champions had won each of their four matches without conceding since Flick was named interim boss following Niko Kovac's sacking, but they came unstuck in Saturday's Bundesliga clash at the Allianz Arena.
Thomas Muller scored his first goal in 21 league matches to cancel out Bailey's early opener, only for the Leverkusen winger to restore his side's advantage 115 seconds later.
Despite Jonathan Tah being dismissed nine minutes from time, a mixture of poor finishing and impressive goalkeeping from Lukas Hradecky left Bayern – who rattled the woodwork late on through Leon Goretzka and an unusually wasteful Robert Lewandowski – frustrated as they lost further ground in the title race.

Moments after Munich looked to be up 1-0, they are made to pay as Davies gives the ball up in midfield far too easily, which allows Volland to get in possession around the centre-circle. He slips a leading pass through for Bailey, who uses his pace to get on the end of it before firing it home!

Kimmich is the deep playmaker as he lifts a pass over the top into the penalty area for Gnabry, whose low, fired shot at Hradecky is beaten away by the palms of the goalkeeper.
19' MISS! Muller's shot blocked
Gnabry is again played into the area with a lifted pass, but with Hradecky coming towards him, the winger is just able to poke it across the six-yard box for Muller. Wendell comes across and flings himself in front of Muller to block the shot though - which preserves the lead.

Bayer Leverkusen take the throw-in, but sloppiness on the ball and a bad pass from Lars Bender allow Bayern Munich to get it forward, where Muller turns a defender after an awkward bounce and lashes the ball past Hradecky from just outside the area.

Tah clears a low cross from inside his penalty area, sending the ball straight up the field for Volland. He notices Bailey getting free from his marker on the left, and pushes it forward for the striker, who gets on the end of it and again beats Neuer with a thunderous hit!

After a flicked-on header in midfield from Lewandowski, Gnabry busts through on Hradecky’s goal with team-mates on either side. He shifts it to the left for Perisic, but before the winger could strike it, Lars Bender comes across with a slide tackle, putting it out for a corner!

Muller ghosts on the shoulder of the last defender and comes just onside to receive a pass from midfield. He then lays it off for Lewandowski, whose hurried shot is sent just wide of the post uncharacteristically!
61' Hradecky makes brilliant double-save
More chaos around the Leverkusen penalty area as Lewandowski’s shot from inside the box is palmed away unconvincingly by Hradecky, though he puts it just outside the six for Goretzka. The central midfielder comes steaming in and whacks a shot towards the net, but the goalkeeper positions himself well to make the follow-up block and keep his side in the lead!
77' AGAIN! Goretzka's header hits the post
A cross comes into the box following a short corner, and it falls for Goretzka, whose textbook header smacks off the woodwork and out! It’s the second time today Bayern have hit the post!
81' Red Card! Tah sent off
Coutinho is played through the Bayer Leverkusen defensive line, and Tah extends and brings the on-loan playmaker down just before he could enter the penalty area! It has stopped a clear goal-scoring opportunity, which means the defender must walk!
