Match Report

At the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FCB showed a good and mature performance and did not let the loud and sometimes heated atmosphere put them off. Harry Kane gave the Munich team the lead in the 18th minute. Bayern also put away Miguel Merentiel's equaliser (66th minute) and were able to celebrate. Michael Olise scored the decisive goal in the 84th minute to make it 2-1. With six points after two games, FCB lead Group C ahead of Benfica (4 points), followed by Boca Juniors (1) and Auckland (0) in third and fourth place.

The supposed leadership – and how. Olise circled a corner from the right side directly into the goal. However, referee Alireza Faghani took back the goal after viewing the video images due to a foul by Serge Gnabry on Boca goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín.

But now! Bayern were rewarded for a strong and dominant opening phase. Konrad Laimer brought a cross from the right halffield into the penalty area. Luis Advíncula just cleared in front of Kingsley Coman. But the ball landed with Kane, who finished ice-cold from eight meters to make it 1-0.

Just two minutes later, FCB had a great chance to make it 2-0 when Olise put in a fine pass for Gnabry, who crossed the ball. Coman came rushing in, but didn't hit the ball properly. The Munich team was clearly the team that dominated the game.

The game was enormously intense. In the 32nd minute, Olise narrowly missed the 2-0. After he had been set up by Coman, the 23-year-old got stuck in a one-on-one with Boca keeper Marchesín. In return, FCB goalkeeper Manuel Neuer showed all his class. When Kevin Zenón shot from a half-right position, the Bayern captain threw his arm up and made an outstanding save.

Even after the change of ends, Bayern dominated the action. In the 53rd minute, Olise was denied by Marchesín with a shot from twelve yards. Two minutes later, a shot by Kane was blocked at the last moment by Lautaro di Lollo.

Boca managed to equalize through a counterattack. After FCB lost the ball in the opponent's penalty area, the Argentines quickly switched gears. Alan Valasco sent Merentiel. The Boca captain prevailed in a running duel with Jonathan Tah, also let Josip Stanišić out and finished to make it 1-1.

Bitter for Bayern: 25 minutes after his substitution, Jamal Musiala had to be substituted with an injury. Thomas Müller came in for him.

Very important! Bayern did not let the setbacks throw them off track and made it 2-1 in the 84th minute. Via Kimmich, Laimer and Kane, the ball jumped to Olise in the Boca penalty area. The French winger stayed cool and slotted in to make it 2-1.
