Bayern Munich are in position to finalize a deal for Lille's Nicolas Pepe, according to Le10 Sport.
Discussions have taken place between the German club, the French side and Pepe's representatives, and, although no deal has been reached, negotiations have moved forward.
Bayern are seen as the leaders, but Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also both involved in the pursuit of the Ivory Coast winger.
Lille manager Christophe Galtier has admitted that avoiding the sale of Nicolas Pepe to a European rival will be “difficult”.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable season with the Ligue 1 club and has been linked to a number of sides, including Bayern Munich and Arsenal.
Lille currently sit second in the French top-flight, behind Paris Saint-Germain, after being embroiled in a relegation battle last season.
