Bayern v PSG: Head-to-Head & Decisive factors

  /  autty

Much of the narrative about the new Champions League group stage, or ‘league phase’, has been about the lack of jeopardy. While that may end up being the case, already Paris Saint-Germain are looking like they could be approaching last-chance saloon. The cynic will point out that having won just once in four, they are still in with a strong chance of avoiding elimination.

Heading to Bayern Munich away from home is not a challenge they will welcome either though, bearing in mind Luis Enrique’s side must still play Manchester City too. Ex-City captain Vincent Kompany has generally been running along smoothly at Bayern in his new job, but the sore points are a 4-1 defeat to Barcelona and a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa – will ‘Lucho’ look to take inspiration from his former side?

The pair of sides have met five times in the Champions League in the last four years, with Bayern looking much more dominant. PSG have not managed to register a goal in their last three meetings, with Bayern scoring four times. Before that PSG did manage a 3-2 win, which saw them through to the next round at the time, but it is a drastically different side leaving Paris, with no Kylian Mbappe or Neymar Junior, the architects of their last win.

Perhaps there is something in the idea posited by Luis Enrique that PSG have been unfortunate in the Champions League, losing to Atletico Madrid in the last minute, but they struggled against Arsenal, and Bayern will be tough task. European football is where Kompany must prove himself, and whomever loses will be facing scathing questions afterwards.

Being a one of the biggest games of the league phase during the new format of the competition, it is no surprise that tickets are not easy to come by, particularly if you are purchasing close to the time of the match. That does not mean to say that it is not possible though.

PSG are not selling tickets to the match at the Allianz Arena, which kicks off at 21:00 CEST in Munich on Tuesday the 26th of November, which closes off one avenue. Bayern are also sold out of their tickets, meaning that fans are forced to look at third-party alternatives.

The first port of call should be LiveFootballTickets.com. They have 182 tickets available currently for a starting price of €199, including tickets together. The advantage of dealing with LiveFootballTickets.com is their reputation though: they have a 4.8 rating on Trustpilot, deriving from over 12,000 reviews, and also guarantee 150% of your money back in case of any mishaps.

Fans can also explore other sites such as Stubhub, who have around the same amount available, and do have some available for €137. FootballTickets.net also have some for €130, although they have less availability.
