David Beckham was joined by close friends and family members on Sunday afternoon as he squeezed in some much needed football practice ahead of his return to Old Trafford in May.
The former England captain pulled on his shooting boots for a kickabout in a London park with comedian Jack Whitehall, best pal Dave Gardner and his three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.
Taking to Instagram later that day, Beckham, 44, admitted the game gave him an opportunity to stretch his legs as he prepares to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Manchester United’s historic treble winning season.
Sharing a group shot of Jack, his boys and their teammates, he wrote: 'Nice little warm up before the match in a few weeks.'
Jack also documented their Sunday afternoon by sharing a photo of himself and Beckham arm in arm with a reference to the former footballer's impressive trophy cabinet.
He wrote: 'Casual Sunday kick around. Between us 10 league titles, 2 FA Cups a Champions League and the Marlborough College 3rd XI golden boot (3 goals). Quite the haul.'
Sharing the same group shot posted by Beckham, the comedian admitted that he may well be feeling the effects of his exertions on Monday.
'Great match. But ohhhh boy I am going to feel it tomorrow morning,' he added.'
Beckham will soon return to spiritual home Old Trafford, where he will reunite with his former Manchester United teammates for a match played in honour of their treble winning heroics.
