Match Reports

Romelu Lukaku continued his fine international form with a double as Belgium eased to a 3-0 win over Scotland in Euro 2020 qualifying.

Belgium have now won four out of four matches in Group I after a victory in Brussels on Tuesday that rarely looked in doubt.

Manchester United forward Lukaku scored once in each half to make it 25 international goals in his last 21 appearances and in truth he should quite conceivably have finished with four or five to his name.

46' GOAL! Belgium 1-0 Scotland (Lukaku)

Scotland's resistance is broken at long last! Eden Hazard keeps the ball in play after De Bruyne's run was halted in the penalty area, and he clips a delicious cross in for Lukaku who turns a simple header in from five yards! Belgium have their lead on the stroke of half-time, and it's no more than they deserve.

57' GOAL! Belgium 2-0 Scotland (Lukaku)

The striker seems to be averaging a chance every couple of minutes tonight! He beats Taylor to a rebound and turns the ball in from eight yards after Marshall saved De Bruyne's initial effort. There was maybe a hint of offside there, but it was the finest of margins and the linesman was right to keep his flag down.

92' GOAL! Belgium 3-0 Scotland (De Bruyne)

Belgium make it 3-1 at the death as De Bruyne finally gets his goal, playing a lovely give-and-go with Mertens before bending a delicious finish through a crowd and into the bottom corner from the top of the box, with Marshall left rooted to his spot.
