Reports are growing that Benfica have targeted Milan flop Lucas Paquetà, so could include Florentino Luis in an exchange deal.
The Rossoneri paid Flamengo €38.4m plus bonuses in January 2019, but the Brazilian midfielder has not lived up to expectations and was already on the market mid-season.
In order to avoid making a loss on the 22-year-old, Milan need to get at least €28m, which is looking increasingly unlikely in the current climate.
This is why Calciomercato.com point towards Benfica and a potential exchange with Florentino Luis, a player the San Siro giants had already targeted a few months ago.
They had requested Florentino on an 18-month loan with option to buy, an idea that was rejected by the Portuguese club.
The 20-year-old is now available, as he has been dropped since November due to a contract dispute.
It’s possible the clubs would resolve the two problems in one fell swoop with an exchange of loans with option to buy.
The story is gaining traction with A Bola, Globo Esporte and more.
