Betting Tips: Arsenal vs Qarabag

With Gurbanov's men having struggled for goals, Al Hain-Cole is backing the Gunners to keep another Europa League clean sheet on their way to victory

Arsenal will be aiming to round off their Europa League group stage with a victory when they welcome Qarabag to the Emirates Stadium on Thursday.

The Gunners wrapped up top spot in the group with one game to spare, thanks to their superior head-to-head record over second-placed Sporting.

Nevertheless, they are priced at 4/19 (1.21) with SportPesa to extend their unbeaten streak to 22 matches in all competitions with a win here.

Gurban Gurbanov’s team is bottom of the group after collecting just three points from a possible 15, but can be backed at 11/10 (12.00) to double that tally with a shock victory in London.

Two of the hosts’ last three home matches in this competition have resulted in draws, and you can get odds of 4/1 (5.00) on this one also finishing up all square.

Konstantinos Mavropanos, Nacho Monreal, Danny Welbeck, Rob Holding, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil are all ruled out through injury, although Laurent Koscielny could be in line to make his first appearance of the season.

Striker Innocent Emeghara is out with a long-term injury for the Azerbaijani champions, who otherwise have a full squad to choose from.

Emeghara’s absence will not do any favours for the Horsemen, who have only scored twice in their five Group E fixtures so far.

Meanwhile, Unai Emery’s team have conceded just two goals themselves, keeping a clean sheet in each of their last four group games.

With the experience of Petr Cech in goal and first-choice defenders Sokratis and Shkrodan Mustafi likely to start as they are suspended for this weekend’s league game against Southampton, the home defence looks more than strong enough to maintain that faultless record.

Indeed, odds of 20/21 (1.95) seem generous on Arsenal winning to nil for their fourth Europa League game in five.
