Brandon Haunstrup set to leave Kilmarnock on a free transfer to return to England

Kilmarnock defender Brandon Haunstrup is attracting interest from English league clubs ahead of a summer move.

The former Portsmouth left-back is available on a free transfer as his contract runs out at the end of the season and a number of League One and League Two clubs have started to monitor his performances.

Haunstrup turned down the offer of a new contract at Portsmouth to join Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership in 2020.

They were relegated via the play-offs last summer but Haunstrup has been a regular for the side as they set the pace at the top of the Scottish Championship under Derek McInnes this season pushing for promotion.

Haunstrup has made 24 appearances this season but has missed the last couple of weeks with injury.

He is working on his fitness and hopes to make a telling contribution to their promotion bid.
