According to TuttoMercato, Brentford has officially announced the signing of Austrian defender Jannik Schuster from Salzburg, with the deal still awaiting international transfer clearance. The 19-year-old Schuster has signed a long-term contract with the club until June 2031, with an option for a further year.
Schuster, who established himself in the Salzburg first team this season, will now embark on a new journey in West London. As a center-back, he made 29 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.
Additionally, Schuster has progressed through the Austrian U21 national team system and also featured in three Europa League matches this season, putting in an impressive performance against Aston Villa.
