The Bundesliga season could be scrapped due to the coronavirus crisis with teams set to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the plan of action after the first player in Germany was infected by the virus.
Bundesliga 2 side Hannover confirmed on Wednesday that defender Timo Hubers, 23, is in quarantine at home after testing positive for the virus which has swept the globe.
Some games across Europe are either being played behind close doors or cancelled in a bid to contain and prevent the spread of coronavirus.
According to Bild, as per AS, the German Football Federation (DFB) are prepared to call off the rest of the season entirely if it is deemed necessary.
A meeting has been proposed for next week between the DFB and all Bundesliga clubs to discuss the possibility of suspending the season.
A postponement of the remaining games has already been ruled out due to a hectic schedule of international games in the coming months.
