The new Bundesliga season continues this weekend with table-toppers RB Leipzig arguably involved in the game of the weekend against Schalke.
Julian Nagelsmann takes on former Huddersfield boss David Wagner, whose side have started the campaign impressively too and will arrive in Leipzig in fifth.
Bayern Munich, meanwhile, travel to minnows Paderborn while Borussia Dortmund play host to Werder Bremen. Sportsmail takes a look ahead to those fixtures and the other matches in the Bundesliga this weekend.
Union Berlin vs Frankfurt
Matchday six begins in the capital on Friday night as Union Berlin look for just their second win of the season against Frankfurt.
The plucky underdogs have not won since they shocked Dortmund and three defeats in five has shown they will do well to avoid relegation. Frankfurt arrive in Berlin on the back of a late equaliser against Lucien Favre's side and will have identified this as a winnable game.
Adi Hutter's side are still recovering from the loss of both Luka Jovic and Sebastian Haller in the summer and have started the season with seven points from five games.
RB Leipzig vs Schalke
Four wins from their opening five matches has given substance to pre-season talk that Leipzig would be in the title picture. Nagelsmann's side have been impressive so far, only dropping points against Bayern Munich earlier this month.
It helps having one of the league's best goalscorers and Timo Werner is definitely one of those. Five goals in five league games has helped Leipzig build a two-point lead over Bayern.
They face a potentially tricky opponent in Wagner's Schalke though. The former Huddersfield boss has seen his team win three league matches a row, including a 5-1 thumping of Paderborn in the last away fixture.
Hoffenheim vs Borussia Monchengladbach
Life after Nagelsmann is proving tough for Hoffenheim in the early weeks of the season. Alfred Schreuder is now in charge but overseen just one win in five matches.
They are suffering their worst start to a domestic season since 2015-16, but earned a battling point at Wolfsburg on Monday night that should inject some confidence before this weekend's tough assignment.
Back-to-back Bundesliga wins for Marco Rose's Monchengladbach have seen them climb up to sixth place and, if he wants to secure European football again next season, then this is the sort of game they need to win.
Mainz vs Wolfsburg
The last time Mainz started a season this poorly was when they lost all of their first five games of the 2005-06 season under Jurgen Klopp. They do have three points so far though, thanks to a win over Hertha Berlin on matchday four.
Visiting the Opel Arena on Saturday are the unbeaten Wolfsburg though, a team who have drawn their last three league matches 1-1.
Oliver Glasner's side won their opening two matches but three consecutive draws have stunted their progress and they will be desperate to return to winning ways.
Augsburg vs Bayer Leverkusen
Leverkusen will be hoping to extend their best start to a season in five years as they look to make it four wins from six matches against Augsburg.
Kai Havertz and Co will fancy themselves to do just that against a team they have never lost to in the Bundesliga. Striker Kevin Volland also has four goals in his last four games in Augsburg, an ominous sign for the hosts.
Augsburg have not lost at home so far this season though, drawing with Union Berlin before taking all three points against Frankfurt. Forward Florian Niederlechner has been involved in a goal in ever league game so far so Leverkusen must keep a close eye on him.
Paderborn vs Bayern Munich
When you've failed to win any of your opening five matches the last team you want to play against is Bayern Munich. Paderborn were tipped to struggle before the season even started and that has proven to be the case.
Bayern are also playing some of the best football they have managed under Niko Kovac. The reigning champions have netted 16 goals in five games with star man Robert Lewandowski scoring nine.
Philippe Coutinho is also starting to find his feet in Bavaria after notching his first goal in the win over Cologne last week. Kovac's policy should mean he starts Thomas Muller but the Brazilian will surely get on the pitch and cause havoc.
Borussia Dortmund vs Werder Bremen
One defeat and a draw have left Dortmund three points behind RB Leipzig and one behind Bayern in the early standings. They can't afford many more slip-ups already and this looks like a banana skin.
Bremen have won two and lost three of their opening five matches but those results give a false impression of a squad who have ambitions of challenging for a European place.
Jadon Sancho has started the season exceptionally, scoring three goals and setting up five for team-mates. He should cause havoc against a defence that has conceded 12 times already this season.
Fortuna Dusseldorf vs Freiburg
Freiburg were tipped for mid-table mediocrity again this season but have been the surprise of the campaign so far and currently occupy a Champions League place.
Led by veteran striker Nils Petersen and youngster Luca Waldschmidt, Freiburg have chalked up wins over Mainz, Paderborn and Hoffenheim during an impressive run of form under Christian Streich.
Fortuna Dusseldorf, meanwhile, look like they will be involved in a relegation battle already. An opening day win at Werder Bremen was a surprise but since then they have drawn one and lost three matches.
Cologne vs Hertha Berlin
Both of these sides have had underwhelming starts to the season. Hertha appointed new manager Ante Covic in the summer in search of a new style but the Croatian has yet to produce results.
They have lost three of their first five matches but earned an impressive point on the opening weekend at Bayern and claimed a first win of the season last time out at home to Paderborn.
Cologne are, predictably, finding life back in the top tier tough. Their only win of the season, away at Freiburg, was sandwiched between four defeats. Last time out they were put to the sword by Bayern and will want to bounce back with a victory here.
