In a World Cup group stage match, Cape Verde drew 2-2 with Uruguay. After the match, Cape Verde coach Bubista spoke to beIN Sports about the result.

Bubista stated: "I thank the players for their efforts and the fans for their support. The match was very difficult, but I am happy with the result. I want to commend my team's players, because despite the tough game, strong opponents, and injuries we sustained during the match, they showed courage. Uruguay is a great team and created many difficulties for us."
Regarding Cape Verde's first conceded goal, which came when their forward Alcântara was injured and on the ground, Bubista said: "Uruguay's first goal was not fair because they chose to continue playing despite a player being injured on the field."
He added: "We learned about fair play from Uruguay's coach Bielsa, so I don't understand why the Uruguayan players would do that, and I don't understand how this is allowed under the new rules."
Bubista concluded: "I am happy with what we achieved in this match. We have a group of trustworthy players, and we will do our best to win our final match against Saudi Arabia."
