Cesc Fabregas has been offered a lucrative payday to finish his career at Qatari club Al-Gharafa.

Fabregas, currently in the French top flight with Monaco, has two years left on his contract but Al-Gharafa are prepared to break the bank to entice the former Premier League and LaLiga star to transfer.

The 33-year-old has, however, struggled for form this season - failing to score in 22 appearances while only providing three assists despite being one of the club's highest earners on a £110,000-a-week salary.

The Qatari club have reportedly made enquiries about the World Cup-winning midfielder, according to France Football.

They hope Fabregas will join former Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia and ex-Wolves midfielder Adlene Guedioura in joining the club.

Should Fabregas accept the deal, he would be under the tutelage of Slavisa Jokanovic, the ex-Chelsea midfielder and former Watford and Fulham boss.

Monaco are said to be happy with the prospect of a transfer to get Febregas off their payroll following the financial ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic.

While Fabregas may even consider the deal as he has family connections with the Middle East, given that his wife Daniella Semaan is from Lebanon.
