Thiago Silva has been singled out for praise by Chelsea fans after embracing the travelling support at the end of their 1-0 win over Tottenham on Wednesday night.
Thomas Tuchel's side came out on top in their Carabao Cup semi-final against Spurs, with their one-goal triumph in the second leg earning them a 3-0 aggregate victory and sending them to Wembley.
Antonio Rudiger headed home the only goal of the decider, but it was defensive partner Silva who impressed the Chelsea faithful most after the game.
As close to 6,000 Blues supporters inside the Tottenham Hotpur Stadium serenaded him with chants of 'Oh Thiago Silva', the Brazilian could be seen dancing and clapping along to show his appreciation before heading down the tunnel.
Silva has only spent the last 18 months at Stamford Bridge after arriving on a free transfer from PSG, but some fans believe he is already proving a club legend.
Reporter Olivia Buzaglo initially wrote on Twitter: 'I don’t know if people watching on TV would’ve seen but after the game, Thiago Silva stood in front of the Chelsea fans for a good five minutes, whilst we sang his name & he danced along & pointed at the badge. What an absolute hero. #CFC'.
One replied: 'No one in club history became a legend in such a short time. It shows nothing but character of this man.'
Another said: 'He's absolutely loved by every club that he's been too, you just can't dislike this man.'
A third put: 'I don't think I have loved a player more in such a short space of time'.
While one commented: 'Yeah obviously it didn't take too long to become a Chelsea legend'.
