Chelsea are yet to make a move in the transfer window despite huge interest in Erling Haaland and Declan Rice.
Blues fans might be getting a bit restless watching the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal all ramp up their efforts this summer.
But with Euro 2020 raging on, it has been difficult to conduct business while the Champions League winners have some big moves planned.
Thomas Tuchel is desperate to sign a striker and several have been linked as Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham prepare to depart.
While a midfielder is also top of the wish list with West Ham ace and former Blues academy starlet Rice in their sights.
Here's the latest news on Chelsea's transfer front.
Haaland alternative boost
With Chelsea finding it hard to prise Haaland away from Borussia Dortmund, alternatives have been identified to help plug the gap that will be left if Giroud and Abraham leave.
Southampton star Danny Ings is a potential solution that became much more viable after he turned down a contract from the Saints over a four-year deal.
That would have made him the club's best-ever paid player but he wants to challenge himself at a top team.
Chelsea have been interested in Ings before, as have Tottenham and Manchester City, but the Blues may see the England international as a potential solution to their striker problems.
Southampton may have to sell the 28-year-old as he enters his final year of his contract, meaning he could leave for nothing next summer.
Rice priority
Chelsea have made West Ham star Rice their main priority in their hunt for a midfielder.
The England international was hotly tipped to move to Stamford Bridge last summer with Frank Lampard in charge but interest died down after he was sacked in January.
But the Blues have rekindled their efforts to land the 22-year-old after a brilliant campaign in the Premier League and currently with England at Euro 2020.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Rice is the main target this summer, saying on Twitch: "At the moment, Chelsea's priority in midfield is Declan Rice.
"If they will sign a midfielder, Declan Rice will be one of the biggest possibilities.
"Then, they have to find an agreement with West Ham, and it won't be easy because West Ham are asking for a lot of money for him."
Roma want Alonso
After the untimely injury to Leonardo Spinazzola that has ruled him out for 12 months, AS Roma are looking to sign a left-back.
According to Il Tempo (via Roma Press), the Serie A outfit are eyeing moves for both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.
The latter joined the Blues from Roma but has failed to make much of an impression and has been priced at €16m despite having a year left on his contract.
However, the Stamford Bridge side would prefer Alonso to leave - who has higher wages yet a lesser role in the first-team.
Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of the Spaniard but, due to club finances, might have to look at cheaper targets.
Patrick van Aanholt, who left Crystal Palace when his contract expired this summer, has been offered to the Stadio Olimpico team.
