Cristian Chivu insisted that his Inter team must shake off the demons of their humiliating Champions League final defeat after losing consecutive Serie A games.
Chivu watched on as Inter came out on the wrong end of a nine-goal thriller with Juventus, with Vasilije Adzic's late stunner sealing a 4-3 win in the Derby d'Italia on Saturday.
Inter came from behind twice before going ahead in the 76th minute through Marcus Thuram, but they were unable to hold on.
They occupy 11th in Serie A and are now six points off pacesetters Napoli and Juve. Indeed, Inter have now lost two of their first three games in a single top flight season for just the third time in the three points for a win era, after 2001-01 and 2011-12.
Following the result, Chivu was asked if a psychological frailty still remained in his squad following their 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final last season.
"I saw good things tonight and in the second half against Udinese, even if we didn’t pick up points," Chivu told DAZN Italia.
"We keep going, we need to cancel out some things that happened in the past so that we can have the calm and focus to bring home results.
"I cannot complain about how hard the team is working, that is for sure."

The last three matches between Juventus and Inter in Serie A have produced 16 goals, exactly the same scored in the previous eight matches between the two sides.
Inter slightly edged the expected goals (xG) battle, posting a total of 0.96 from their 18 shots compared to Juventus' 0.65 from their 12 attempts at Yann Sommer's net.
While Inter's sustained spell of pressure in the second half ultimately came to nothing, Chivu believed there were elements of the performance that could be built on.
"I think we had a really good performance in the first and second half," Chivu said.
"Unfortunately, there are moments in the match, especially in the final 10 minutes, where we were lacking.
"Overall, we came here to take the initiative, play with character, try to win and not settle for less.
"We lacked sharpness and didn't realise something different was required in the last few minutes."
