Following another season filled with injury issues and sparse playing time, Christian Pulisic has a 'concrete' chance of leaving Chelsea this summer, according to a new report.

In his fourth season with the club, the winger started just eight league matches for an extremely bloated squad, with a knee injury costing him two months between January and March as well.

Now, Pulisic has been given the 'green light' to leave the club in the summer according to Fabrizio Romano, who named AC Milan as a possible suitor for the player.

The American has also been linked with Newcastle, Manchester United and Juventus at various points, with the latter being named by ESPN last month as the favorites to nab him.

The publication suggested it could take $25million for the club to strike a deal with Chelsea.

Regardless of where he could end up, Pulisic will hope that any potential next destination offers him more playing time.

The 24-year-old has seen his number of league starts for Chelsea fall every season after peaking at 19 his first year in London.

And ex-Manchester City defender Micah Richards thinks he needs to be more than just a squad player at his next stop.

'He needs to go somewhere where he needs to be the main man,' he said on a CBS Sports media call on Monday.

'When he plays for the US he plays different, he feels like the main man. He's a lot better than he shows and he needs to be more consistent.'

Pulisic impressed in a leading role for the USA in Qatar, tallying a goal and two assists as the Stars and Stripes reached the last 16.

But he ended his club season with identical stats for Chelsea in 30 appearances across all competitions.
