Christian Pulisic out for a number of weeks after suffering hamstring injury

Christian Pulisic will be sidelined for at least three weeks after AC Milan confirmed the injury that the so-called “Captain America” sustained during the USMNT’s recent match against Australia in Colorado.

Following a series of tests and examinations, AC Milan announced—according to AP reports—that an MRI revealed a low-grade tear in the hamstring of his right leg.

The USMNT star will be monitored closely over the coming days to evaluate his recovery progress from this latest setback.

With the injury confirmed, Pulisic is expected to miss AC Milan’s next five official matches against Fiorentina, Pisa, Atalanta, Roma, and Parma, leading up to the final FIFA international window of 2025.

His potential return could come in the city derby against Inter Milan on November 23, a match in which the Rossoneri are hopeful to have the Team USA standout back in action.

The injury is also a blow for the USMNT, who are set to play their final two friendlies of the year against Paraguay and Uruguay.

With Pulisic ruled out, Mauricio Pochettino will almost certainly need to find alternatives to cover for his most important player—a recurring challenge for the USMNT, who already missed out on the Gold Cup this past summer.
