Lionel Messi’s future with Paris Saint-Germain has been uncertain since he was suspended for two weeks following an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia. While the Argentine world champion is expected to return after his suspension, the question is now whether he will wear the PSG shirt again before his contract expires in June.

According to RMC Sport PSG coach Christophe Galtier has confirmed that he plans to play Messi in the final league matches against Auxerre, Strasbourg and Clermont. However, the final decision is up to Messi himself. He could decide not to play, citing physical reasons or other factors. Galtier will reportedly meet and discuss the situation with the 2022 World Cup winner.

Le Parisien previously reported that that the chances of him wearing the red and blue of PSG again are slim. While the club wants him to participate in the remaining fixtures, the French media claims that Messi is not enthusiastic about the idea, with his main focus being to find his next club.

PSG has suspended Lionel Messi for two weeks without pay, resulting in the player missing upcoming games against Troyes and Ajaccio. It has also been revealed that Messi’s contract, set to expire at the end of the season, will not be extended, confirming his departure from PSG.
