Any club reaching this year’s Champions League final will not be given enough tickets to even satisfy the demands of their season-ticket holders.
UEFA announced on Wednesday that the clubs competing in the final at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano on June 1 will receive just 17,000 tickets each.
Supporters from both clubs will account for just over half of the stadium’s 63,500 capacity, with the rest given to corporate partners, UEFA affiliates and the general public.
And fans of any English club will be left disappointed with Liverpool - should they make it through - Manchester City, United and Tottenham all having over 25,000 season-ticket holders.
The cheapest tickets in Madrid are priced at £60, rising to £513 for top-category general admission tickets.
A total of 61,561 packed into the Olympic Stadium in Kiev last year for the final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.
