Cesc Fabregas has insisted Como are "working well" in the transfer market as they reportedly edge closer to completing a move for Trevoh Chalobah and Yan Couto.

Como have already signed Luis Milla, Mattia Liberali and Kaiki this summer, with the latter joining on loan, but they are interested in bolstering their backline.

Chalobah won the second-most duels (172) among Chelsea defenders last season (not including the Club World Cup), while also recording the third-most interceptions (45) and winning the fifth-most tackles (25).

Couto, meanwhile, created the third-most chances among Borussia Dortmund defenders last term (26) and completed the second-most dribbles while playing as a back-up option to Julian Ryerson.

Fabregas previously spoke on Como's need to strengthen their squad ahead of their first-ever Champions League campaign, and the Spaniard believes they are on the right path this summer.

"Obviously, I know everything, every step, every minute and every moment. I won't say anything," said Fabregas.

"We're working well, it's clear where we want to strengthen the squad, and little by little we want to do it properly.

"Whoever arrives, arrives. We'll talk about it later, now isn't the moment."

Como still have pre-season friendlies lined up against both Arsenal and Liverpool before their Serie A campaign begins on August 22 against Udinese.
