Since his move to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr in January 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo’s time with the Riyadh based side has has been a complex and multi-faceted success. However the striker’s individual achievements have clearly eclipsed the club’s collective trophy haul.

Ronaldo, who is now 40 has continued to perform at a high level, consistently scoring goals and breaking records in the Saudi Pro League and as of August 2025, he has scored 99 goals in 112 matches for his club.

The player from Madeira has also bagged consecutive Saudi Pro League Golden Boots and his presence with Al Nassr has significantly raised the league’s global profile.

Al Nassr trophy drought

However, his arrival in Riyadh has also seen endure Al Nassr a barren spell in the trophy stakes with the yellow and blue side seeing how, principally Al Hilal and also Al Ittihad have had the upper hand in recent domestic competition.

The only trophy Al Nassr has won with Ronaldo is the minor 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup, where he scored both goals in the final, but this trophy is not deemed as a high profile or significant competition.

With Al Hilal opting to not participate in the final four edition of the 2025 Saudi Super Cup, citing post Club World Cup exhaustion, both Al Nassr and Al Ahli advanced from the semifinals beating Al Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah respectively.

Al Nassr striker Sadio Mané is suspended for the final of the Saudi Super Cup after he received a straight red card in the semi-final match against Al Ittihad so Ronaldo will look to link up with Joao Felix in his quest for a first winner’s medal with Al Nassr on Saturday.
