Cristiano Ronaldo shows muscle-bursting leg power in Juventus training

Cristiano Ronaldo went back about his business on Friday, taking to his first Juventus training session since his recent red card heartbreak on his Champions League debut.

The 33-year-old showed off his muscle-bursting power by lashing through the ball during set-piece practice, as the first team prepare for their upcoming clash away to Frosinone in Serie A.

Ronaldo joined his team-mates at the club's Turin training complex and looked to be in high spirits despite his disappointing week.

The Portuguese superstar took to the European stage for the first time with his new club on Wednesday night, but was shockingly dismissed by the referee after an altercation with Valencia defender Jeison Murillo.

After much dispute, Ronaldo left the field in tears as the realisation of the implications of the decision sank in.

Juve still rallied from the disappointment though, to take a 2-0 victory and an opening three points with two penalties courtesy of Miralem Pjanic.

The club have yet to comment on the incident and indicate whether or not they will appeal the decision, but a potential three-match ban would see Ronaldo miss a large portion of the group stage and two crucial matches against his former club Manchester United.

Ronaldo will be looking to put the disappointment behind him and return to goal scoring ways at the weekend as domestic action resumes.

The 33-year-old finally got off the mark for his new club in the most recent Serie A outing, after scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over Sassuolo to send the Old Lady top of the division.

Juve currently sit on 12 points after winning each of their four opening games.

Napoli and SPAL each sit in joint second place with nine points, with an inferior goal difference to the league leaders.
