Dani Alves sends message to his next club amid Arsenal transfer interest

Dani Alves has said his next club will be signing a 'true champion' amid speculation Arsenal are lining up a move for the ex- Paris Saint-Germain defender.

The Brazil skipper is a free agent after his contract with the French giants expired earlier in the summer, meaning he is able to talk to clubs about a potential move.

And that may be why he says the club he signs for next will be adding a 'true champion' to their ranks this summer.

"Now I’m free, but I still have a lot to accomplish in my career,’ said Alves.

"The only thing that I can say is that the club that sign me will sign a true champion."

A move to Arsenal would see Alves link up again with Unai Emery, who signed the Brazilian for PSG from Juventus in the summer of 2017.

Owing to Arsenal's reduced budget, Emery has had to get creative this summer in order to strengthen his squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
