Darwin Núñez has paid a heartfelt tribute to his Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota following the tragic car accident that claimed the lives of Jota and his brother André.
“There are no words of comfort for so much pain,” Núñez wrote on social media. “I will always remember you with your smile, as a great teammate both on and off the pitch.”
The Uruguayan forward extended his condolences to Jota’s loved ones: “I send all my strength to his family. From wherever he is, I’m sure he’ll always be with you, especially his wife and three children.”
