David Raya to make his 100th Arsenal appearance

David Raya will hit a significant milestone in his Arsenal career, as he makes his 100th appearance as a Gunner.

As he has done in all of his 99 appearances for Arsenal so far, Raya will start against Nottingham Forest this afternoon, becoming the 20th goalkeeper to play a century of games for The Arsenal.

David's debut came just under two years ago in a 1-0 victory over Everton in September 2023, a game which marked the first of 41 clean sheets as a Gunner so far. If he were to keep his 42nd this afternoon, he would have the best ratio of games per clean sheet of any Arsenal goalkeeper, with an average of 2.38 games per clean sheet.

The game against Nottingham Forst will see the two-time winner of the Premier League Golden Glove award make his 74th appearance in the competition for Arsenal; he has also featured 22 times in the Champions League as well as three times in the League Cup and once in the FA Cup.

The goalkeeper has provided some memorable displays in his two years in north London, perhaps most notably in our penalty shoot-out win over Porto in the 2023/24 Champions League.
