After starting for Ajax and being one of the star performers as they booked their place in the semi-finals of the Dutch Cup, FC Barcelona's future player Frenkie De Jong admitted that he was glad the transfer saga was finally over.
"I'm feeling relaxed now. Now it's De Ligt's turn," the footballer said jokingly.
De Ligt was quizzed about his own future which, like De Jong, involves a lot of the best teams in Europe. "It's nice that they say there are 10 or 12 teams who want to sign me. Maybe I need to sign some of them up as my agent," he laughed. "We'll see what the future has for me. The only thing I'm focused on now is Ajax."
The young, Ajax captain said he was delighted for De Jong to secure his move to the Camp Nou. "I'm happy for him, very happy about the news. He's dealt with it brilliantly. I don't think he'll care that from now on they won't talk about him as much."
