Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has taken a dig at Tottenham striker Harry Kane by calling him 'Mr Touch' in response to Mohamed Salah's Instagram post.

Salah uploaded a photo of him lifted off the ground by his Reds team-mates with his PFA Team of the Year award in his hands at their training ground on Monday.

The Egyptian wrote: 'Very fortunate to be adding another award in my first season playing with this great group of players! @dejanlovren06 did you vote for me?'

Centre back Lovren showed his funny side as he replied: '@mosalah My vote went to Mr. "Touch" I am joking brate. U know already my answer' followed by wink and kiss face emojis.

Kane has received heavy criticism on social media after he claimed and then was awarded Spurs' winner against Stoke on April 7 despite it being given to Christian Eriksen originally.

The English striker claimed he got a touch to a cross by Eriksen and the club's appeal to have it added to Kane's tally was successful.

In fact, Salah, who is four goals ahead of Kane in the race for the Golden Boot, was surprised Kane was awarded the goal as he tweeted: ''Wooooooow really?' following the news.

Lovren has become the most recent to take a swipe at Kane by calling him 'Mr Touch'.

His comment has gone down well with Liverpool fans on Twitter.

One user wrote: 'Dejan Lovren referring to Harry Kane as ‘Mr Touch’ HAHAHAHA'

While other users responded with laughing crying face emojis.
