During his illustrious career Alessandro Del Piero was an expert from dead ball situations.
Of the 290 goals that the former Juventus man scored, 42 of those came from free-kicks.
With Cristiano Ronaldo now the talisman in Turin, Del Piero was asked who was the better free-kick taker between himself and the Portuguese frontman.
"Cristiano is good at many things, and it could be that he is not training too much lately," Del Piero joked.
"Ronaldo is a very good free-kick taker and has a great record in this aspect.
"I am happy for what he did (against Atletico).
"Now he must make Juventus fans happy and I hope that he scores many goals from free-kicks and in any other way, just as he is already doing," Del Piero said during the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour of Heineken in Indonesia.
The Juventus legend feels that the way Ajax played against Real Madrid was a warning to not underestimate the Dutch side.
"The challenge is great," he stated.
"Ajax played an incredible tie against Real Madrid, impressing the world with how they played and their youth.
"It will be tough, but to reach the final you must beat everyone."
He feels that the Turin club are one of the favourites to win Europe's biggest prize and are only getting better.
"Juventus have the chance to win the Champions League and not only because they face Ajax in the quarters.
"They were one one of the favourites from the start of the season.
"They have constructed a very strong team to which they have added Cristiano Ronaldo and they have already shown what they are capable of by reaching two finals in four years," he mentioned.
