Former US international Dempsey praised US national team coach Pochettino on the show, saying that the Argentine coach brought personality and confidence back to the US team.

The FIFA World Cup is coming to Texas. How do you feel about it?
"It's a sense of pride. I remember 1994, and I remember the games in Dallas. Such events inspire children to chase their dreams, just as I did back then," Dempsey said.
Can the US team win the championship?
"Their performance has impressed me greatly. They have handled the pressure of a nation very well. This journey can be historic, yes."
Are you surprised by McKennie, who is also from Texas?
"What impressed me most were him, Pulisic, and Balogun. I also want to mention Ricardo Pepi from El Paso. He wasn't on the roster in 2022, but he's gotten stronger now. As for McKennie, he's had a fantastic tournament. One reason I admire him is that he always bounces back whenever he seems to be in trouble. For a while, it seemed he was no longer in Juventus' plans, but he still fought for his place. He's a fighter, a warrior, and he never gives up. Ultimately, that's what a true Texan is like."
Pulisic is a key technical player. What is your impression of him?
"First, I hope he returns as soon as possible. Without a player like him who can lead the whole team, there is no US team. I have been following his season at Milan. In a very complicated team, he is clearly the best player."
What do you admire most about Pochettino?
"Before the FIFA World Cup, he was criticized. Now his rating is A+, which is a perfect score. He has done an excellent job."
What impressed you the most?
"He brought personality and confidence back to the team and also mobilized the so-called 'twelfth man'—the fans. Everyone sings, dances, and unites. Seeing this reminds me of our days playing with Donovan, Altidore, and others, and it's truly moving."
As a commentator, what do you think of this FIFA World Cup?
"I really like it. It's great to see Germans and Koreans celebrating together, Mexicans and Japanese celebrating together, Argentinians and Dutch celebrating together. In an era that always tries to divide people, this event proves that the best way is to celebrate differences and remember how much we have in common. This is the essence of the FIFA World Cup."
Who is the player who impressed you the most?
"Of course, I have to mention Messi. He is unique, a chosen one of football. It's hard to describe him because every time he reminds you that he is the best. He has broken Klose's goal record and rewritten history. As long as he is on the field, the world will be quiet, from the United States to Argentina. If he continues to maintain this level, in my opinion, Argentina is the favorite to win the championship."
