Didier Deschamps will pen a new contract with France on Tuesday to extend his deal until January 2023, according to reports.

The France manager's current deal expires next summer and the extension — which will run until January 2023 — will see him take charge of Les Blues at the Qatar World Cup.

That will be held in December 2022 and Deschamps will be keen to defend the trophy he won in 2018.

Le Parisien have reported that a press conference will be held on Tuesday afternoon to announce the deal.

Deschamps will sit alongside French FA president Noel le Graet after agreeing to the extension.

It will see Deschamps reach 10 years in charge of Les Blues, having taken over with his assistant Guy Stephan in July 2012.
