Sergino Dest underwent a medical on Wednesday morning, prior to signing for Barcelona for a fee of 20 million euros plus a potential 5m euros more in variables.
The 19-year-old Ajax man will arrive to bolster the right-back spot, following the departure of Nelson Semedo to Wolves.
The player arrived in Catalonia on Tuesday night and isn't expected to be announced until Thursday or Friday, since some paperwork has yet to be concluded.
While Dest was at the hospital in Barcelona for his medical, his future teammates trained ahead of Thursday night's clash with Celta Vigo.
