Chelsea defender Axel Disasi is closing in on a move to Bournemouth.

The 27-year-old Disasi is expected to join on loan and become the third defender brought in by the Cherries after the club made almost £145million in sales from the departure of two centre-halves and a left-back this summer.

Daily Mail Sport first reported Bournemouth's interest early this month (Aug 7) and talks are now advancing.

Bournemouth have sold Illia Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez to Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Liverpool respectively this summer and brought in Bafode Diakite and Adrien Truffert as replacements.

Disasi’s starts at Chelsea last season came largely in the Conference League and Carabao Cup before he joined Aston Villa on loan in the January window.

He is able to play at centre-back or full-back and has made 44 Premier League appearances since joining Chelsea from Monaco two years ago.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Jackson has had interest from Aston Villa recently and Newcastle United and Bayern are once again trying to see if Chelsea will allow the £60m-rated forward out on an initial loan.

Villa have also asked about Christopher Nkunku who has interest from RB Leipzig and Bayern too.

Chelsea want to sell both forwards ideally to pave the way for Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons to join from Manchester United and RB Leipzig respectively.

Chelsea have agreed for Carney Chukwuemeka and Aarón Anselmino to join Borussia Dortmund as they continue their clear out of fringe players.

Tyrique George is attracting interest from Roma while midfielder Sam Rak-Sakyi is also expected to go out on loan.
