Sanchez and Falcao played a huge part in River Plate's 2008 title winning season under the guidance of now Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone. Sanchez scored 4 in that season and then went to Italy while Falcao scored 11 goals and stayed for another year before went to Porto in the next season.
