After the frustration of Leicester's 1-0 defeat by Manchester United, cameras picked up Jamie Vardy calling someone a 'f****** k*******'.

The striker pointed in what appeared to be the direction of his manager Claude Puel, leading plenty of fans to posit that he was speaking about his boss.

At the time, Puel was engaging in a chat with French compatriot Paul Pogba after the final whistle.

Though it is unclear who the remarks were aimed at. Some supporters on social media were left in little doubt.

One wrote: 'Vardy caught on camera calling Puel a f****** k******* for chatting with Paul Pogba,' followed by the crying with laughter emoji.

Another sided with the 32-year-old striker, saying: 'So what if Vardy called him a f****** k*******. Only saying what we are all thinking.'

While a third said the incident illustrated that the club is 'a mess'.

Despite the fact that Leicester are sitting comfortably in mid-table, there has been reports of unrest at the club and it was even said that Puel had 'lost the dressing room' back in December.

One source previouslty told Sportsmail Puel’s relationship with his players and staff  deteriorated to an all-time low. There are also issues over selections, style, and communication.

But an impressive three points away at Chelsea followed by a home win against Machester City quietened the voices of discontent.

If Vardy's comments were directed at his manager, perhaps talk of a dressing room rift will gather momentum once more.
