Match stats
Second-placed Dortmund have won five of their last six Bundesliga outings – the only exception being their 5-0 thrashing at the hands of leaders Bayern Munich on Matchday 28. Schalke, down in 15th, have won just once in 12 outings (1-0 at bottom side Hannover).
BVB claimed Revierderby honours for the first time in over three years in December's reverse fixture (2-1). They haven't done a Bundesliga double over Schalke since their last title-winning campaign of 2011/12.
Dortmund pair Reus and Sancho have both had a hand in 24 league goals this season. Club captain Reus has 16 goals and eight assists, while Sancho tops the Bundesliga assists chart on 13 and has netted 11 times, with three goals coming in his last two appearances.
Reus has only scored once in seven Revierderby appearances, although he netted three times in six games against Schalke with previous club Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Schalke's top scorer this season is Daniel Caliguiri with just five goals. BVB trio Paco Alcacer (17), Reus (16) and Sancho (11) have 44 between them.
Dortmund have only won four of their 19 home games against Schalke since the turn of the century (D8, L7). Last season they squandered a 4-0 lead to draw 4-4.
The Royal Blues have only won one of their last eight Bundesliga meetings with Dortmund, a 2-0 home victory last season. Otherwise they have drawn four and lost three.
