The draw for the Second Round of the DFB Cup, which was conducted at the German Football Museum in Dortmund early on Sunday evening, has pitted Borussia Dortmund against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The tie will be played at Signal Iduna Park on 29 or 30 October.

Former Germany international and Borussia Dortmund man Christoph Metzelder was the special guest for the draw. It will be the third time that BVB have faced Borussia Mönchengladbach in the DFB Cup, but the first at home. The Black & Yellows lost both previous away ties: 6-1 in the 1986/87 season and 2-1 in the 2003/04 campaign.

Gladbach reached the Second Round this season by beating SV Sandhausen 1-0 away last weekend, while BVB won 2-0 at KFC Uerdingen.
