Match footage shows that after being substituted, Dzeko angrily threw an energy drink handed to him by a teammate on the sidelines. Earlier in the match, Dzeko had struck the crossbar in the first half.
It remains unclear whether Dzeko's frustration stemmed from dissatisfaction with his own performance or with being substituted. At the time of this incident, Bosnia and Herzegovina was leading Qatar 2-1.
